Falling for the fourth straight day, cardamom prices fell by another 0.53 per cent to Rs 833.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing positions amidst subdued spot demand.
In futures trade, cardamom for delivery in June month fell by Rs 4.40, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 833.10 per kg in business turnover of 292 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in May contracts shed 20 paise, or 0.02 per cent to Rs 880.00 per kg in 1 lot.
Market analysts attributed the slide in cardamom futures to sluggish demand in the spot market.
