Press Trust of India New Delhi
Cardamom prices were down by 0.35 per cent to Rs 689.70 per kg in futures trade today, extending its slide for the third-straight day, as traders continued to trim positions owing to slackened demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 2.40, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 689.70 per kg in business turnover of 165 lots.

On similar lines, the spice for delivery in April contracts edged down by Re 1, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 721 per kg in 12 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept cardamom prices lower at futures trade.
