Cardamom prices drifted further down by 2.99 per cent to Rs 858.90 per kg in futures trade today mainly due to weak advices from spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November month declined by Rs 26.50, or 2.99 per cent to Rs 858.90 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.

On similar lines, the spice for delivery in December month traded lower by Rs 2.40, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 923.10 per kg in 13 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants on the back of easing demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly kept cardamom prices down at futures trade.
