Continuing its rising streak for the third day, cardamom prices added 0.12 per cent to Rs 1,023.90 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in building up positions, taking positive cues from spot market on strong demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August gained Rs 1.20, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 1,023.90 per kg in a business turnover of 2 lots.

Analysts said expanding of positions by participants, driven by pick-up in domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market, mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
