Amid pick up in domestic demand, cardamom prices edged up by 0.18 per cent to Rs 1,009 per kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August edged up by Rs 1.80, or 0.18 per cent to Rs 1,009 per kg in business turnover of 2 lots.

Analysts said participants created fresh positions after uptick in demand in the physical market, mainly led to rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
