Cardamom prices drifted lower by 1.80 per cent to Rs 1,202.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid fall in demand from in the spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions put pressure on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month November fell by Rs 22, or 1.80 per cent to Rs 1,202.10 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in October contracts declined by Rs 20, or 1.66 per cent to Rs 1,183 per kg in 59 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
