Cardamom prices drifted lower by 1.84 per cent to Rs 824.90 per kg in futures trade today as participants locked-in gains at prevailing higher levels amid fall in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July fell Rs 15.50, or 1.84 per cent to Rs 824.90 per kg in a business turnover of 16 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-taking by traders at existing level, easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly pulled down cardamom prices at futures trade.
