Cardamom prices were down 0.57% to Rs 646.10 per kg in futures trading today as traders trimmed positions amid subdued domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March declined by Rs 3.70, or 0.57%, to Rs 646.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 120 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in April shed 90 paise, or 0.13%, to Rs 696 per kg in eight lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions on the back of easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
