Cardamom prices moved up by 0.58 per cent to Rs 1,328.20 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh position amid pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in January rose by Rs 7.70, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 1,328.20 per kg, in a business turnover of six lots.

Traders said fresh positions created by participants, driven by uptick in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
