Cardamom prices were down by 0.04 per cent to Rs 889.10 per kg in futures market today as traders locked-in gains at prevailing higher levels amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July month shed 40 paise or 0.04 per cent to Rs 889.10 per kg in business turnover of 2 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-taking by participants at existing level, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
