Cardiologist shot dead by former armyman who loved his maid

The incident was reported from Rajinder Nagar locality at around 2:30 am and the victim Sanjeev Dhawan worked with the Ganga Ram Hospital, Devesh Srivastava, Additional Commissioner of Police (Central), said.

The accused Dharmendra Kumar Tandon(30), who worked in the army as a gunman, was arrested from Karol Bagh Metro station. He is working as a security guard at Gurgaon's Palm String Hotel.

Police said Tandon, who hails from Bilaspur, loved the maid Sangeeta who has been working at the victim's house since August 29.

Tandon wanted Sangeeta to leave Dhawan's place and start living with him but she refused. He recently went to Dhawan's place and threatened him also.

 

Last night, Tandon telephoned Dhawan and threatened him again. (more)
