Carlson Rezidor signs first Radisson hotel in Mumbai

Global hospitality group Carlson Rezidor today announced the entry of its upscale hotel brand Radisson in the city here with the signing of a 112-key property.

The signing of Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC,in the key, is set to accelerate Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's overall growth and expansion plans in the country, the company said in a release issued here.

The hotel is being developed in partnership with GHV Hospitality India and will be managed by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

"We are delighted to sign the management agreement for Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC, which is significant to us in many ways. Radisson is a firmly established global brand with over 200 hotels in operation and development throughout the world," Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Chief Executive Officer, South Asia, Raj Rana said.
 

******** Thomas Cook Ind completes acquisition of Tata Capitals 2 cos *

Integrated travel and travel related financial services provider Thomas Cook India Group today said it has completed acquisition of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Tata Capital - Tata Capital Forex (foreign exchange) and TC Travel and Services (travel services).

The network of the two acquired entities includes 24 locations and 263 employees pan India, a release issued here said.

The acquired companies will now be referred to as TC Forex Services and TC Travel and Services.

"Our acquisition of Tata Capital's Forex and travel companies serves to further reiterate our leadership position as also our clear focus on the Travel and Foreign Exchange sector in the country," Thomas Cook (India) Chairman and Managing Director Madhavan Menon said.

******* Tata Power commissions 30 MW solar project in Maharashtra *

Tata Power today said it has commissioned a 30 MW solar power plant in Palaswade, developed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy in Maharashtra.

The plant will produce over 62 million units annually of solar power, covering the annual energy needs of over 14,000 households.
