Independent multi-brand automobile solutions provider Carnation Auto plans to cross the 300 outlets mark by 2017 powered by its ongoing expansion.

The company, which opened its 100th outlet at Jaipur today, plans to open over 150 outlets by the end of this year itself.

Commenting on future plans, Carnation Auto Chairman and Managing Director Jagdish Khattar said, "It has taken us some time to create a playbook and now that we have the winning model for both the used car as well as the workshop business, we will continue to expand the network cluster by cluster."

Expanding only through the franchise route, Carnation aims to be more accessible to its customers by building a recognised pan-India brand across a wider network, the company said in a statement.

Khattar, the former Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director, said Carnation is adding up to eight new locations every month.

"We are in discussions with some strategic partners, both domestic as well as global players, who want to leverage the Carnation platform and launch multiple business models," he said.

The company's current network includes over 30 certified used car showrooms as well as over 80 state-of-the-art multi brand workshops.

According to market estimates, the used car industry is expected to continue to grow at a rate of 18-20 per cent per year, and the organised segment at a scorching 40 per cent.

Carnation said it was hopeful of helping grow the size of the organised independent aftermarket by targeting to expand to over 300 outlets by the end of next year.
