Actress Carrie Preston, who is best known for playing quirky lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni in "The Good Wife", will reprise her role in the spin-off, titled "The Good Fight".
Tascioni was one of the most popular recurring characters on the legal drama, frequently helping the characters out of trouble. In 2013, Preston won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for the role.
The new series picks up one year after "The Good Wife" finale and follows Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and her goddaughter Maia (Rose Leslie), reported Entertainment Weekly.

The new show also stars Sarah Steele, Justin Bartha, and Delroy Lindo. Gary Cole, who played Diane's husband, Zach Grenier, and Jerry Adler are also set to reprise their roles in the spin-off.
The show is slated to premiere on February 19.
