Seeking concrete steps to rejuvenate BJP in Odisha, party General Secretary J P Nadda today asked workers to carry the succuss story of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the common people and strengthen the organisation to wrest power from BJD in 2019 elections.

Due to weak organisation in Odisha, BJP failed to capitalise on the Modi-wave which swept the country in the last general elections, Nadda said at a party meet here.

Instead of delving into as to what led the party to fare badly or who was responsible for the electoral drubbing, they should focus on meeting the common people regularly and raising their issues, he said.

Exhorting partymen to channelise all their efforts at the grassroots level, Odisha in-charge of the party Arun Singh said within 100 days of assuming power at the Centre, BJP-led NDA government could bring the economy on the track.

People have full faith in BJP and they strongly believe that Modi's dreams are going to fructify, he said.

Among others, Union Minister Jual Oram and state BJP chief K V Singh Deo spoke on the opening day of the three-day meet.

The meeting is seen as an exercise to rejuvenate the party which won only one of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha despite Modi-wave doing wonders elsewhere.
