Prime Minister Narendra Modi today meant business when he asked MP Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan not to come to the airport to see him off but carry on with the global investors meet which he had just inaugurated.

After he concluded his 30-minute speech, Modi took the mike again to urge the CM not to insist on following the protocol.

"I know Shivraj Chouhan for many years. Protocol demands he comes to airport but I am telling him it is important to stay here," Modi said.

Chouhan, however, insisted that he would at least see Modi off till his car and Industry Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia will accompany him till the airport.

During his speech, Modi said it was such an event where he himself should have been present on all the days, but could not do so because of other pressing engagements.

A host of industrialists, including corporate bigwigs like Ambani brothers-- Mukesh and Anil, Gautam Adani and Tata Group's Cyrus Mistry, were present at the Global Investors' Summit here.
