Case against Dwarka seer for remarks against Saibaba

A case was filed in a local court today against the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth, Swaroopananda Saraswati, for his alleged remarks against Saibaba of Shirdi.

The first hearing of the case, filed by local lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha, would be held in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate S P Singh on July 9.

The case was filed under Sections 153 (b) (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration), 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult religion of any class), 298 (statement given with an intention to hurt) and other sections of the IPC.

Another case against the seer has been filed in a court of Indore for the same reason.
