Case against tribal girl for allegedly killing in self-defence

Komarada police have booked a case against a tribal girl for allegedly killing a man in self-defence after he tried to sexually assault her at her village in Vizianagaram district.

A case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code has been booked against the girl, police said, adding that the incident, which took place on Wednesday night, was being investigated.

The man, identified as one Kadraka Hari, was reportedly in a drunken state when he allegedly tried to rape the girl at Jala village.

He died of a head injury after the girl allegedly hit him during the attack.
 

The girl is living with her parents in the village and has not been taken into custody, police said.
