The Cyberabad police here today registered a criminal case against former Andhra Pradesh minister P Shankar Rao and his brother in Green Fields Colony land-grab case.

Rao and his brother P Dayanand have been charged with criminal conspiracy, cheating and other relevant offences under the Indian Penal Code, said inspector N Chandra Babu.

A local court in Malkajgiri had last week directed the Neredmet police to lodge a case against Rao and his brother following a private complaint which alleges that they tried to grab land in the Green Fields Colony at Kanajiguda by presenting forged documents.

S Chandrashekar, the complainant, alleges that Rao, P Dayanand and others tried to grab 75 acres of land in the Colony through a fraud.
