A complaint case was today filed in a court here against Bihar minister Abdul Jalil Mastan for allegedly asking a crowd at a note ban protest to hit with shoes the photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rajiv Kumar Sharma, advocate in Hajipur civil court, filed the complaint case against Mastan, the Excise and Prohibition minister and four others in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Jai Ram Prasad with a plea that he was hurt by the minister's remarks and hence a case of sedition be lodged against him (minister).

Sharma in his petition said he saw the footage of minister's remarks on various TV channels yesterday and was hurt by the remarks of Mastan.

In his petition he asked the court to direct the police to file an FIR against Mastan.
