Pune police today lodged cases against some sixty MNS workers a day after they evicted hawkers and vandalised their goods in various parts of the city.

After targeting hawkers in Mumbai, especially near railway stations, as part of the party's campaign against encroachment on roads and overbridges, MNS workers attacked roadside fruit-vegetable vendors here yesterday.

Sinhgad road police registered a case of dacoity and rioting against 40 to 50 MNS workers after they attacked fruit vendors near Rajaram Bridge and threw their merchandise on road.

Deccan Gymkhana police registered a case against 10 to 15 workers for attacking hawkers on the Fergusson College and Jangli Maharaj roads on Thursday.
