Cash, arms seized

During a checking of vehicles as part of ongoing drive in view of Lok Sabha polls, police today intercepted a car near Dharuhera and seized Rs five lakh in cash, three pistols and 45 live cartridges.

When police started interrogating the car driver, he managed to give a slip to them and sped away towards Bhiwadi town in Alwar district in Rajasthan.

Haryana police have registered a case against the driver for alleged violation of the orders of the Election Commission and under the Arms Act.
