Three days have passed in the new month but bankers were still finding it difficult to satisfy people before queues in need of cash, the demand of which was still much higher than supply.
Officials of a leading cash logistics company that fills 60 per cent of the state's ATMs today said that they have supplied between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 4 lakh in Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 notes in some 40 per cent of ATMs under their control.
They said it was not possible to fill cash more than once in the ATMs except a few.

Meanwhile, the scene in banks or before ATMs were as usual - long queues, but some of the ATMs remained dry.
Three persons died since yesterday while standing in queues for cash in the state.
A state government employee died while standing in a queue in front of an ATM booth near Bandel station in Hooghly district today.
Two others suffered the same fate in two other districts of the state yesterday.
