Cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees were allegedly stolen from the house of a BJP leader in Kotwali area here while he was away, police said today.

The thieves had entered the residence of BJP district President Pankaj Gupta last night when he was away attending a wedding in Ghaziabad, after breaking open the lock of the main gate, they said.
