Cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for giving info on builder's murder

A cash reward of Rs 10 lakh has been announced by CBI for providing information related to the murder of builder Nikhil Ramkrishna Rane who was killed four years ago in Pune.

"The reward will be given to the person who will provide definite clues/details/information leading to identification and apprehension of the accused persons. The identity of the informant will be kept secret," CBI spokesperson said in a statement.

CBI has registered a case of murder on the orders of Bombay High Court in 2011.

"It was alleged that on January 23, 2009, at about 12.15 PM, Nikhil Ramkrishna Rane (Builder) was on his way to his office, located at the second floor of the Anant Chambers, Jungli Maharaj Road, Shivaji Nagar, Pune, when he was fired upon from behind by some unknown person. He was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries on November 30, 2009," it said.
