Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today said the casino mounted vessel which has ran aground on Miramar seashore near here has developed a hole, which needs to be repaired before moving it back to the water.

Lucky 7, a casino vessel which was being shifted to river Mandovi from Mormugao Port Trust, ran aground at Miramar beach on July 16.

Parrikar said there is a damage to the vessel as it has a gushing hole.

"If you try to take it without repairing it, it will sink 200-300 metres away from the point (shore)," he said.

The chief minister said all the factors are taken into consideration before shifting the vessel away from the shore.

"It is at the shore right now due to technical reason. After removing it has to float for 10-12 hours to take it for repairs," he said.
