Castorseed prices improved by Rs 10 to Rs 4,533 per quintal in futures trading today as traders created position in line with a firm trend at the physical markets.
Marketmen said building up of fresh positions by participants following a firm trend at the spot markets on strong demand, led to the rise in castorseed prices in futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for delivery in August gained by Rs 10, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 4,533 per quintal, in an open interest of 81,330 lots.
Castorseed for September delivery advanced by Rs 10, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 4,605 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 7,230 lots.
