Cathay Pacific announces two key appointments for South Asia

Hong Kong-based full service airline Cathay Pacific today said it has appointed Abhijit Abhyankar as its regional marketing communications manager for South Asia.

Besides, it also announced the appointment of Sandhya Suraj Kankanady as the airline's assistant regional corporate sales manager for South Asia.

In his new position, Abhyankar will be responsible for the development and execution of all marketing communications' activities for Cathay Pacific and its sister airline Dragonair, in the subcontinent, a release said.

Abhyankar, who joined Cathay Pacific in November 2009 from Naresh Goyal-promoted private carrier Jet Airways, was working as area sales manager for northern India, it said.
 

Kankanady had been working as an accounts manager for Karnataka, overseeing both trade and corporate sales prior to her elevation to he post of assistant regional corporate sales manager, Cathay Pacific said.

The airline currently operates flight services to Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad, while its sister concern Dragonair operates to Bengaluru and Kolkata, besides scheduled freighter services to Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
