Caustic soda and citric acid prices were down at the wholesale chemical market in the national capital today following muted demand amid fresh supplies.
Marketmen attributed the fall in caustic soda prices to increased arrivals amid withdrawal of support by soap and its related industries.
Dimming demand from breweries resulted in a fall in citric acid prices, they quoted.
In the price section, caustic soda flake dropped by Rs 50 to end at Rs 1,950-2,050 per 50 kg bag.
Prices of citric acid china and deshi also fell by Rs 50 each to conclude at Rs 3,850-4,250 and Rs 4,150-4,650 per 50 kg bag.
