Consumer goods maker Cavin Kare has drawn up plans to garner revenues of Rs 100 crore from its Karthika shampoo brand which is being launched across India.
Karthika Shampoo, which was launched in Andhra Pradesh in 2006, was subsequently launched in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala market.
It would be available across all cities in the country, the city-based firm said in a statement.

"The national foray of Karthika shampoo comes at the right juncture with the herbal products market posing a positive outlook for the coming years. With an increase in penetration level for herbal products across market, we foresee a tremendous growth for our brand," founder and Chairman of Cavin Kare, CK Ranganathan said.
"... Our vision is to take one of our spectacular products to neighbourhoods of our customers across the country and thereby increase Karthika shampoo's turnover to Rs 100 crore by 2017," he added.
The company claimed that the Karthika brand was a well established player in the segment and enjoys strong consumer base across metro and rural areas.
