CBI arrests board member of NJMC in graft case

CBI today arrested the Director (Finance) of National Jute Manufacturers' Corporation Limited from his office in Kolkata on the charge of receiving a bribe of Rs 10,000 for clearing bills for machine repairs.

CBI sources said Yogesh Kumar Garg was apprehended while allegedly taking the money for processing bills of repair of jute machines and releasing Earnest Money Deposit of a tender.

The sources said that based on information about the alleged bribe exchange, a CBI team carried out a check of Garg's office in Kokata from where he was arrested while allegedly taking the money from the properitor of a private firm.
 

The sources said searches are going on at Garg's residence in this connection.
