CBI today arrested a senior official of the Directorate of Light Houses, a central government establishment, in Chennai for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 25,000.
The official has been identified as Sakthi and is posted as the Deputy Director of Light Houses in Chennai, a CBI spokesperson said.
Agency sleuths are conducting searches at the office and residential premises of the official.
