CBI has arrested a Senior Section Engineer of Western Railway in Madhya Pradesh for allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs one lakh for allowing a company to complete railway bridge construction work at Ratlam.
CBI spokesperson today said a case was registered against him under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act.
She said he was allegedly demanding a bribe from the complainant in return for allowing his company to complete railway bridge construction work.
"CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from the complainant. Searches were conducted at office and residential premises of the accused," the spokesperson said.
