The killing of the four youths at Joypur area of Kokrajhar had led to massive violence in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) and nearby areas in lower Assam for over a month and claimed about 100 lives besides displacing 4.85 lakh people.
Police said the founder president of All Bodoland Minority Students Union (ABMSU) Moinul Haq was among the three taken into custody by CBI and shifted to an unknown location here.
There is, however, no detail so far regarding the identity of the other two arrested.
CBI had taken up the seven cases related to the BTAD violence in August last year. Four of the cases were registered in Kokrajhar district, two in Chirang and one in Dhubri.
