CBI today arrested two railway officials for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh in return for favouring a school teacher in a vigilance case against him in Hyderabad.

CBI sources said K Nageshwar Rao and K Narasimhulu were arrested by the agency while they were taking the alleged bribe money of Rs 1 lakh in cash and Rs 2 lakh in cheque from a Railways school teacher based in Secunderabad.

The school teacher had complained to the anti-corruption unit of the agency in the Andhra Pradesh capital that the duo had demanded the said bribe from him for managing an alleged vigilance inquiry with regard to a caste certificate of the teacher.
