CBI arrests veterinary inspector in graft case

The CBI today arrested a veterinary inspector of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), South Zone for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for issuing license for a meat shop.

Pradeep Kumar Dagar, veterinary inspector, SMCD was booked on a complaint alleging that he demanded a bribe of Rs 60,000 from the complainant for issuing license to open a new meat shop in Aya Nagar area in New Delhi.

"The CBI laid a trap and caught the veterinary inspector red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant. Searches are being conducted at the residential premises of the accused," CBI Spokesperson R K Gaur said here today.
 

He said the arrested accused will be produced tomorrow before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Patiala House Courts.
