While CBI is looking into the criminality aspect, PAC is examining the CAG report on the issue.
During the meeting, Joshi sought the status of the cases which are under consideration of PAC and being probed by CBI.
"CBI is inquiring into issues being considered by PAC. We wanted to know the status of the cases. We were tallying things. There was no briefing on any particular case," Joshi said when asked about the meeting.
He said PAC has sought information from the CBI chief on all issues which "includes all those aspects which CBI is examining and the PAC is also examining".
The PAC has also decided to look into CAG's report on the controversial Rs 3,727 crore VVIP helicopter deal in which the auditor has slammed the Defence Ministry and IAF for deviating from rules.
The PAC is already scrutinising the government auditor's reports on coal block allocation, Commonwealth Games, KG Basin, Civil Aviation and Farm Loan Waiver.
