CBI court rejects petition of two NRHM accused for acquittal

A special CBI court today rejected the petition of two of the accused in the multi-crore NRHM scam seeking their acquittal from graft charges.

P K Bhukesh and D K Singh, two accused in the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam in Uttar Pradesh, had requested court for acquittal from graft charges.

The court of special CBI judge Shyam Lal rejected their petition and set April 29 as the next date of hearing.

Meanwhile, in another case related to NRHM scam, the CBI yesterday produced two witnesses before a special court.

While Directorate of Family Welfare, Accountant Jitender Nath Mishra made his statement before the court of special CBI judge Shyam Lal, Amaresh Kumar assistant manager of UP Udyog Vikas Nigam is yet to complete his statement.
