"The director expressed satisfaction at the progress of the probe into the horse-trading and fodder scams," a senior CBI official said here.
The director also reviewed the progress of the cases pertaining to the bitumen scam and irregularities in the funds of the National Rural Health Mission in the state, the official said.
Senior CBI officials from Patna, Dhanbad and Ranchi participated in the meeting chaired by the director.
Singh, who is visiting Ranchi for the first time, met senior state government officials and urged them to allot land for setting up infrastructure.
The officials agreed to allot five acre on the outskirts of the state capital and near the site of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police camp, he said.
"The director was informed that we are investigating 50 to 55 cases in Jharkhand every year. So we need proper infrastructure, manpower and vehicles to function", he said.
The director was happy to learn that 43 of the 53 fodder scams ended in convictions.
