The CBI has registered two cases over appointment of Gramin Dak Sevaks by Postal Department in Bihar allegedly on the basis of fake marksheets in lieu of bribe of Rs three lakh for each post.
CBI sources said here that the agency carried out searches at 16 locations in Patna, Sitamarhi and other location.
The sources said between 2008-12, Postal Department had appointed 17 Gramin Dak Sevaks in Sitamarhi and 13 in Samastipur on the basis of marks obtained in Class 10th.

Based on preliminary inquiry, the CBI registered two cases in this connection.
During searches, the agency seized various records and registers from Sanskrit Shiksha Board Bihar, Patna and also appealed to public to share any credible information regarding the case on 0612-2235566.
"As per intelligence inputs received, each candidate has paid Rupees two to three lakh as bribe to get appointed," an officials overseeing probe said.
