CBI files charge sheet in one of the Vyapam cases

CBI today filed a supplementary charge sheet against two candidates and two alleged impersonators in connection with the Madhya Pradesh Pre Medical Test 2013 conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board known as Vyapam.

CBI spokesperson R K Gaur said here that the charge sheet was filed in the court of ADJ, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) against two impersonators--Yashpal Nagar, Mukhesh Rajput and two candidates--Rakesh Kumar and Shiv Kumar under IPC sections of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery among others.

"The allegations pertain to two separate instances of impersonation of candidates in the PMT, 2013 on July 7, 2013 at the same examination centre, Government Autonomous Girls PG Excellence College, Sagar (MP) in two separate examination halls--room numbers seven and eight respectively, by two impersonators," he said.
 

Gaur said in this case all the four accused were already listed in a charge sheet by the Madhya Pradesh Police and the case was pending investigation for collecting further evidence.

"During CBI investigation, evidence, including expert opinion, have been collected. The accused persons have allegedly committed offences of criminal conspiracy, cheating, cheating by impersonation, forgery of valuable security, use of forged documents as genuine, using unfair means in recognised examination, etc," the spokesperson said.

The case was one among the 72 under trial cases which were ordered by Supreme Court to be transferred to CBI for taking over trial or further investigation.
