CBI today arrested the Personal Assistant to a Deputy Collector here on the charge of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 for an official favour.
Rajarathinam, PA to Deputy Collector (Revenue), at Villianoor was caught by CBI officials from Chennai while he was receiving the bribe from a person for issuing a document relating to an immovable property, police said.
On a complaint, a CBI team laid a trap and arrested Rajarathinam in his office under the Prevention of Corruption Act, they said.
