"Sanjay Choudhary is in Dubai now. It appears he was arrested and secured bail there. We will send an officer to Dubai to tie-up with Dubai police and get details as to how to bring him to India," CBI's senior most official said here.

On November 9, 2011, Interpol United Arab Emirates had arrest Choudhary in United Arab Emirates and CBI has since been trying to bring him in connection with the Koda scam.

Soon after the raids by IT/ED on October 31, 2009 at 69 premises, including former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda's, the IT had issued arrest warrants against Choudhary along with three others after they went into hiding following the raids.

Barring Choudhary, Koda, and his alleged aides Binod Sinha, Vikash Sinha, Manoj Punamia and Arvind Vyas were arrested and are in judicial custody.

The IT and CBI claim that Choudhary was one of the kingpins in Rs 2,500 crores scam, which the agencies claimed invested in hawala transactions and Choudhary allegedly invested money in business establishments in Dubai.

Koda was arrested on November 30, 2009, over a year after he quit as chief minister after ruling the state for 23 months between 2006 and 2008.
