Uttarakhand BJP today said the CBI summons to Harish Rawat in the sting CD case was "another indication" of his wrongdoing.
"He is the first former CM who has been served summons by the CBI. There is no smoke without a fire. It is another indication that he has done something wrong," state BJP president Ajay Bhatt said.
Accusing Rawat of tainting "Devbhoomi", Bhatt said the former CM should co-operate in the investigations.
The sting CD released by rebel MLAs in Delhi after the political crisis erupted in Uttarakhand in March this year purportedly shows Rawat negotiating a deal to bribe legislators to support him in a floor test.
