The Special Crime branch of CBI probing the Saradha scam has decided to move a higher court to appeal against Alipur ACJM's order rejecting voice sample testing of West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra who was arrested by the agency.

"We have decided to move a higher court to appeal against the ACJM of Alipur court Haradhan Mukherjee order of December 17 rejecting CBI plea for voice sample testing of Mitra", a CBI source told PTI today.

He said that this was important in view of the fact that if this was done, then some more names might be revealed in connection with the scam.

In the last production of Mitra, CBI counsel pleaded that CBI had collected some electronic evidence which would be sent to CSFL for testing their veracity and also voice sample testing.

The source said that CBI would move a higher court in the coming week, which could be District Sessions Judge Court at Alipur or the Calcutta High Court.
