For this case, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) considered "services of development and sale of residential plots in Ghaziabad" as the relevant market.
Finding no "prima facie" case of competition norms violation, the regulator decided to reject the complaint.
"With the presence of so many players in the relevant market and consumers having varied options to choose from, the Commission is of the considered view that OP 1 (SMV Agencies) neither has a position of strength, which gives it the power to act/operate independently of its competitors nor has the ability to affect its competitors/consumers in the relevant market," CCI said in its order dated September 9.
