India's challenge in the CCI PSA Squash Challenger 15 came to an end after Mahesh Mangaonkar went down in five games to second seed Mohammed Ali Anwar Reda of Egypt in the quarterfinals here.
Reda, the world no 43, had to dig deep into his reserves after losing the first two games against the 19-year-old Indian, ranked 106 in the world, and prevail 14-16 6-11 16-14 12-10 11-8 in a battle that lasted five minutes under two hours.
The 24-year-old player from Cairo earned a semifinal slot against Egyptian compatriot Omar Abdel Meguid, the no. 3 seed from Giza who beat Malaysian Ivan Yuen 13-11 8-11 11-8 14-12 in another quarterfinal match.

Clyne raced past fellow Scot Greg Lobban 15-13 11-5 11-6 while 19-year-old Sabry defeated Elvinn Keo of Malaysia 11-5 11-6 12-10 in the other quarterfinals.
