CCL achieves highest coal dispatch, rail rake loading in

Touching new heights of success, the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) achieved the highest coal dispatch and rail rake loading in the fiscal year (FY) 2017-18, according to a company release here today.

The CCL dispatched a record 67.6 million tons (MT) of coal and loaded 11518 rakes during the FY 17-18, which were 371 rakes above last fiscal year, it said.

The company has also accomplished unprecedented performance in context of stock liquidation, capital expenditure and rail transport infrastructure development, it added.

In the financial year 2017-18, the CCL made a new record; when it registered an increase of 11 per cent in coal dispatch. The capital expenditure of the company has been about Rs 1350 crore, almost double the target and 17.8 per cent more than last year, the release said.

 

The progressive realization of coal value till March18 is about 15 per cent higher when compared to the same period last year. The CCL has supplied about nine per cent more coal to thermal power plants during the above period.

These figures reiterate the CCLs commitment to contribute towards the nations economic growth under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the release said.

In the last financial year, CCL management laid special emphasis on stock liquidation, strengthening the infrastructure and fast-tracking many highly anticipated and ambitious projects that will certainly give push to coal production, coal evacuation, coal dispatch etc. in near future and will also have far-reaching effects in the coming years, the release said.

This saga of consistent growth is being written with strong commitment and persistent efforts of each and every stakeholders of the CCL, the release said, adding the unprecedented performance is the result of the systematic and strategic planning as well as its perfect execution.

The coal production target of CCL for the year 2018-19 is 76.35 MT. The CCL will be expanding few existing projects which will boost the coal production. Many stuck environment clearances for new projects are also in the pipeline to be cleared in coming months, which will help increase production from existing projects, the release said.

Holistic Development of poor, villagers, workers and downtrodden have been the main thrust area of the CCL, the release said, adding the.

CCL team is committed to bring social transformation through welfare and CSR schemes and is continuously striving for it.
