CDS exam results declared

A total of 299 candidates have cleared the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2013, results of which were declared today by the Union Public Service Commission.

These 299 candidates have qualified for admission to the 137th course of Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala and Kerala and Air Force Academy in Hyderabad (pre-flying), a statement issued by the Ministry of Personnel said.

The Combined Defence Services Examination (II) was conducted by the UPSC in September, 2013. Later, the interviews of the successful candidates were held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

The number of vacancies intimated by the government was 250 for the Indian Military Academy, 40 for the Naval Academy and 32 for the Air Force Academy, it said.
 

The UPSC had recommended 5,608, 2,874 and 678 as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, respectively.

These results will also be available on the UPSC website--www.Upsc.Gov.In. However, marks of the candidates will be available on the website after after declaration of final result of Officers Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2013, it said.
