Tyre major Ceat today posted nearly three-fold rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 66.95 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 22.43 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.
Consolidated net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,428.18 crore for the third quarter, as compared to Rs 1,239.03 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Ceat said in a filing to the BSE.

The company said it has announced a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for its employees on January 24, 2014, which will be open for application from February 15 till March 15, 2014.
Ceat shares today closed at Rs 314.10 apiece on the BSE, up 4.44 per cent from its previous close.
